The governor of Washington has released an updated state proclamation requiring the use of face coverings in indoor spaces, regardless of vaccination status. Even within Crossway there are diverse preferences and opinions on this matter, yet we find unity in the clarity of God’s word. Romans 13:1-2 says, “Every person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore, whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.”
We find joy as Christians in obeying God’s commands, whether it is for or against our will. Beginning this Sunday the 29th, we encourage you to wear a face mask while inside the church building. Sunday school teachers will be wearing masks.
